Happy Holidays everyone! Wow how the year has flown by.
The Junior Infants have settled well into school this year and are certainly all ready for Senior Infants in September. It was a pleasure working with each and every one of the children every day. I wish all of you a safe, healthy and happy Summer and look forward to seeing the children in school again in September.

Lots of other topics about the Summer, our health, minibeasts etc are being covered.
Active School Week - 12th - 16th of June. Tag Rugby is continuing and we will be completing lots of outdoor and adventure P.E. lessons over the next few weeks.
Messy Hands workshop and Teddy bears picnic which is "Our School Tour". We cannot wait!!
Welcome back after the Easter Holidays. It is crazy to think that we are in Term 3! We are now finished our letter sounds but we will be doing lots of revision work to make sure we know them very well.
We will also be completing more writing activities. In this term we will be learning all about Summer and lots of other topics.
We will have our last two Camogie and Zumba lessons and will be back to our class P.E. lessons. The weather will be getting better hopefully so we will try and get out to the yard for lessons more often. We will have lots of activities as part of our Active School Week in a few weeks time. Keep an eye out on the main homepage and Active School section.
Check us out enjoying the Book Fair that is in our school this week. We enjoyed stories read by 5th and 6th class pupils and have been Dropping Everything and Reading (D.E.A.R) in class this week too. There are lots of books in our class library to explore. More Photographs of this event and otherrecent events below!!
Spring is finally here! We have been very busy in Junior Infants. We have been working hard learning our numbers, letter sounds and reading in class. We have continued with our Bua na Cainte.
We have started our second reader G.G. is too big and we are flying with it. In addition, we have started shared reading at home. We are certainly developing our love of reading at this stage!! We have also started writing in our letter writing copies which is a big step for us and we are delighted.
Camogie has continued on Tuesdays and Zumba on Fridays. Both classes have been fantastic and we are so lucky to have exposure to such fun filled activities with plenty learning opportunities. We recently went on our Spring Nature Walk to the park having completed lots of work on Spring in class.
The local Fire Brigade also paid us a visit recently and we even got a chance to go into the fire engine. Some events coming up for us include the book fair and Easter activities before the Easter holidays.
