Just in case you didn't know this week is friendship week. We have been very busy in Kanturk GNS. We strive for Inclusion, Participation and Respect of all our pupils. This week saw us making a very special effort with our peers. On Monday, we completed Mindfulness and Yoga with Susan Fitzgerald. The pupils really loved this and Susan is always excellent with them. We also took a tour of the school in the Infant classes and kept an eye out for the many friendship features in our school ie. Our Kindness Tree, Friendship Fish, Friendship board, Friendship Bench and Postbox. Each pupil had a secret friend for the day as well which was lots of fun. On Tuesday, Infant classes had secret friends again, a Friendship Colouring Competition and sang some friendship themed songs. 5th and 6th Class students made and iced buns for Wednesdays Student Coffee Morning. Check out the photograph of the yummy buns below. Older classes also participated in a very worthwhile and informative workshop called "Her Hero" which discussed and gave information on Cyber Bullying - An extremely successful workshop. All pupils had homework off and it was non uniform day on Wednesday
