This week, we have been very busy in Kanturk GNS. The senior classes have been continuing Camogie with Esther in the park and have been learning fantastic skills as well as some fun. Junior and Senior Infants went on a trip to the Library to meet with a guest speaker who shared and read a book with them. The children had a marvellous time and cannot wait to visit again. We were also very lucky this week as we were picked from a number of schools to receive a Science Planetarium visit. Each class went to Scoil Mhuire hall and observed the day and night sky. The children learned lots of new things. Please see some photographs below of some events.
Today, we received a visit from Cillian Meehan who is travelling to Laos during the Summer. He spoke to us about the area he will be going to and the volunteer work he will be doing. We presented him with a cheque to buy supplies and for his volunteer work which we raised as part of our Easter Egg Raffle fundraiser. Cillian promised he would revisit us with photgraphs of his experience when he returns. We cannot wait to see how he got on!! Check out some photographs of the presentation below.
We are delighted to announce that we have received yet another green school flag.
